Taking a daily multivitamin can be the start of turning that bad health around. There are so many vitamins and minerals on the market today. Health vitamins can truly change the way you feel and even how healthy you look. Taking vitamins can ease the symptoms of sickness and disease and even help prevent many conditions that vitamin deficiency can cause. You can truly help your health just by swallowing a vitamin every day.

Vitamin D is important for your bones. It keeps them strong and keeps them from getting brittle. Vitamin E is great for your skin, hair, and nails. It can help with so many skin issues. Often, the capsules are opened and applied directly to the skin. Vitamin C is said to buildup your immune system and help with many virus preventions by keeping your immune system strong and vibrant. This aids in helping you stay healthy and strong. Vitamin B helps your body to make protein which makes energy and keeps you strong.

There are many other types of vitamins, and this is only a brief synopsis of the most important vitamins. Your physician should be able to advise you of what health vitamins you should take for optimum health. Blood work can often reveal vitamin and mineral deficiency and is a great starting point to help you know what you are lacking in. Health vitamins can bring up low levels in your body such as with iron vitamin D. It is important to have your blood retested periodically after you begin a vitamin regime.

It is important to know the difference between water soluble vitamins and fat soluble. Fat soluble vitamins can hang out in your fat cells for many months. They can build to high levels if you take too much of a vitamin and this can make you sick or even cause death. Iron is a very deadly fat soluble vitamin that should be taken with care and under the advice of a doctor. Water soluble vitamins are flushed out in excess through the kidneys so that are not very dangerous.

This type of health vitamin, like vitamin C can be taken in greater amounts without a health risk. It is important to know that just because a vitamin or mineral comes from nature, it is still considered a drug and must be treated as such. A health vitamin can interfere with other drugs and cause major complications. Be careful before starting any vitamin and check with your doctor or pharmacist to make sure that any medications that you normally take will not interfere with the vitamins.
