A green field, high electric tension in the air, and a man wearing shorts and matching t-shirt comes along kicking a ball approaching the other side of the field. There is a man who is trying to cover the movements of the person coming with the ball towards him. The person kicking the ball is only focused upon the net goal post…and he strikes and the ball has gone in for a GOAL!!!! This is a scene from a match in the life of a footballer.

A footballer or professional football players are one and the same in european countries. There is a lot of training that goes into making a excellent footballer. A footballer usually starts at a very young age and plays with his friends in school. If he is a serious footballer, then he may get a college scholarships due to his footballer skills. That’s the first step that goes into making of a footballer. The person then continues on playing at college level and joins his college team. Once he does that he has all the chances of making it big at college matches.

Many times scouts attend college matches to locate a footballer who is a good player and who can be an asset to their clubs. A good footballer gets a chance to play with the club and from there if he possesses the right set of skills and the passion and of course if the luck is with him, he gets a chance to move forward to display his skills at a higher level.

To improve the skills of the footballer, the club usually assigns a senior player to coach him, this way the new footballer gets a chance to bond with the team and also a chance to learn and mature himself into a professional player. Of the many qualities that a great footballer must possess is the ability to foresee; he must be able to identify a pass even before it has been made to him. By anticipating the movements of his team around him,heperforms as required. An excellent footballer can also control the ball in every way when it is passed to him, by his foot, shoulder, head or hip. He knows how to gain the control of the football and tackle it in favor of his situation.

A true footballer is a person from whom the passion of playing is oozing out. He plays in a glamorous fashion and yet is still very spirited and focused in his own aim, and that is sign of a great footballer. Even though the best possible way to win any game is to possess the passion and the drive but another very important part is to possess the cool and calmness. A footballer should be able to control his emotions and frustrations so that he can channel his energy in a much more positive way. If he is a composed player then very little is required to make it to the goal!!!
