Supplements containing fiber are meant to be a healthy supplement in addition to your daily fiber intake. Although the best fiber intake is with a routinely healthy diet, it’s not always possible to maintain on diet alone. There are many benefits to proper use of dietary fiber supplements.

There are many different foods that contain fiber which is ultimately the best way to get the proper intake of fiber. Over usage of such supplements can lead to negative effects and although there are benefits to using the supplements as directed, you do not need to take more the recommended dosage.   • You must drink plenty of water
  • Higher doses could lower the effectiveness of other medications
  • Higher doses can also cause stomach irritation or diarrhea
