You may be able to borrow money from a friend or family member. Taking out a debt consolidation loan can help you to get your credit cards paid off and leave you with only one monthly payment instead of multiple payments. However, this is only a good idea for those with the will power to close their accounts or at least not use them. If you turn around and change them back up again, you will be in an even bigger financial mess than you started out with.
