Wireless All in One Printer

Introduction

Like any other printer, installing a wireless all-in-one printer is pretty easy. The hard part is configuring the IP of your printer (if it is not auto-assign). If you are having a hard time installing one to your computer, there is always a user’s manual included. For time-saving purposes, this easy to follow instruction is written. Kindly follow these steps upon purchasing a wireless all-in-one printer:

Step 1

Take the printer from its packaging. The box, the plastic and the Styrofoam should be stowed away to avoid accidents (like igniting a fire). Also keep these packaging for future use just in case if you have to return it back to the store.

Step 2

Make sure you have an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) for your printer or the power cord is connected to an AC Adapter to avoid power surges. Now connect them to the wireless all-in-one printer accordingly, but do not connect it to your computer yet.

Step 3

Ready your ink cartridge and printer papers. Turn on your printer then install the ink cartridge and printer paper. On how to install them properly, please consult the user’s manual of your wireless all-in-one printer. Double check if the ink cartridge and printer paper are installed perfectly.

Step 4

Install the software and drivers of your wireless all-in-one printer to your computer. These software and drivers should be properly installed first before turning your wireless all-in-one printer to the computer. These software and drivers are inside the cd’s that came with the wireless all-in-one printer. They are also available online in the official website of the manufacturer of your printer where you can download them.

Step 5

Now after doing the previous steps, you can now turn on your wireless all-in-one printer. It will be automatically detected since you already installed the software and drivers. If it’s not automatically detected, we need to do troubleshooting.
Restart your PC first. Some wireless all-in-one printers require restarting for it to be detected. If it’s still not there, press your Start Menu and click on the Device and Printer option. Select the Add Printer option, and follow the steps to add a wireless printer. If you've configured your wireless printer properly, it should come up. Make sure that your wireless all-in-one printer is turned on or it may not appear on the selection of available printers. After all these, you can now print a test page to make sure that it is functioning properly.

Tips

 

• You can position your wireless all-in-one printer anywhere (providing that is properly connected to the router).
• Keep your wireless all-in-one printer loaded with paper to avoid printing errors. Keep track of your ink cartridges if they still have ink in them.
• Be careful in touching wires, basically the power cord, to avoid shocking yourself.
• Keep all the drivers, software, cords, boxes, plastics and styrofoam just in case you have to return or move your wireless all-in-one printer to another place.
• Keep your drivers updated.
• Always consult the users’ manual for further instructions on your wireless all-in-one printer.
