Larry Dupree played for the team from 1962 to 1964. He was a great athlete and we could say that this boy could fit into any kind of sport. Growing up, his plans were a little different from becoming what he actually did, but in the eleventh hour he decided to study at the Florida College and that is how he became part of the Gators. Eventually, he got many good credits on his name during his career in Gators football.

S. Louis Oliver had the honor to become the captain of the Florida team at a very young age and he also got picked up by the Dolphins in 1989 which was a really big achievement for any football player at that age. He was inducted into the Athlete Hall of Fame by University of Florida in 2000.

Charlie Casey played for the Gators football team from 1963 to 1965. Very few people know about Charlie, but the fact is that he was one of those players who were the founding fathers of the very same modern day football that we see these days. 

Shane Matthews had the chance of playing Gators football from 1989 to 1992. He had a great season in 1996 that is considered to be one of the best seasons the Gators ever had in all history. Florida was led to the first SEC title in 1991 with the help of Shanes captaincy. He was a really big asset for the Gators and remains to be for the rest of the world.

As an athletic-scholarship student at the University of Florida, Reidel played college football for three seasons. During that time he represented the Gators, gaining many great achievements and receiving All-American honors for his outstanding skills and credits, two of them being catching seventy-two passes in the 1996 national championship and setting a record with his eighteen touchdown catches. He will always be remembered among the great names that have ever been introduced by the Gators in the football world.
