Being a housewife can be fun and enjoyable. Many women think that it is too stressful and doesn't fit them. The truth is anyone can do it and do it successfully. With a few tips you can be the best housewife and enjoy doing it at the same time. 

Step 1

Get organized. This is probably the most important thing in being a housewife. The house doesn't have to be perfect, but it does have to be organized in a way that is best for you. What works for one person won't work for others all the time. You can take ideas from others and make them your own. Get shelving, bins, or whatever you need to make it organized in a way that is fitting to your needs.

Make a schedule on how you want to run the house. As a housewife you are responsible for keeping up with schedules of the family members and what time meals will be served. As a housewife you can determine what time everyone gets up, goes to bed and what is planned. This will also help everyone in the home stay on track on what they need to do.

Plan ahead. Planning ahead is very important as a housewife. This will help prevent any kind of delays or mix ups in a schedule. This will also help others in the home to know what to expect for the week. You can choose to post it on a board, fridge or give each person a copy. Set one day aside for deep cleaning. As a housewife you can't be expected to do everything everyday. This day can be on the weekend so everyone helps or you can choose to do it when no one is home which ever is easier for you. On this day you will want to mop, dust, clean windows etc. This will also prevent the house from getting too messy too fast.

Start a laundry day for each person. This will help eliminate confusion on when laundry will be done and for who. As a housewife doing laundry can really make it hard to keep up with everything if you try to do it all in one day. You can choose to post the laundry schedule on the wall or some where visible. This would be most beneficial for older children. 

Step 7

Delegate chores to others. As a housewife it doesn't mean maid service. Being a housewife means tending to the home and family at home. By giving older ones chores will help them to keep the home tidy and clean. This will also get used to having the house this way so when mom is sick they will do it on their own.

Set one day aside to do errands, and grocery shopping. As the housewife it is easier to go shopping during the day when others are at work. There will be less people and you will be able to get through the store faster.

Make a grocery list as you run out of things. Keep it posted somewhere that is visible. As the housewife of a home it is hard to remember everything all at once. Keeping a list and adding to it will help thing organized and then you have a less of a chance of forgetting something when you are there.

The last thing as a housewife is don't stress out. It is hard at first, but with time it will get easier. Not everyone's idea of a housewife is the same and the key is to do it that best fits your family's needs.
