As mentioned above, over the phone or Internet is the fastest and easiest way. The form will ask basic information such as name, address, social security number and telephone number. You will also be asked about your income. Fill in all of the information that is asked for.

- Find out if you were approved. When applying for instant credit approval over the telephone, the wait is short, only a couple of minutes. Applying over the Internet is also quick. Generally the agent will place you on hold while awaiting your results. On the Internet you will see a screen that says processing please wait. For those who are granted instant credit approval, you will be told within minutes. For those who have not been given instant credit approval, you will usually be told that you will hear something in seven to ten days. Often this means that you were not approved and you will receive a denial letter in the mail.
Step 5
- Wait for your new card. If you were given instant credit approval your card should come in the mail shortly. When you receive your card, sign the back.
Tips
When you apply for a card at a store that offers instant credit approval, you may have the added benefit of getting a percentage off your purchases for that day. Many stores offer this as an incentive to get you to apply.
If you receive instant credit approval in person at a store, you are able to begin making purchases in the store immediately.
Many store's that offer instant credit approval will require you to have a major credit card in order to apply.
If you are denied a card that you apply for, it is a good idea to get a copy of your credit report to see what is on there that prevented your approval.
