This disease is not easily pinpointed since those having problems with their digestion would just think of different causes like allergies of foods that they eat.
Bloating
The primary cause of celiac disease is said to be bloating. Bloating refers to that condition where one has his stomach swelling which increases the diameter of the stomach or abdominal region. This happens to people mainly because of the fluids and food that one takes into the stomach. These foods are with a high quantity of gas which causes the bloating.

People who have celiac disease will experience a decreased absorption of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. Among these nutrients, fats are hard to absorb and this causes gastrointestinal symptoms. These symptoms include flatulence of foul odor and some noticeable fats in the feces. Those fats that are not absorbed are turned into fat acids which eventually produce water.
