Introduction
Whenever you have stubborn blemish acne it can ruin even the best picture and make you feel self-conscious. While you could just wait for it to go away, there are also some tricks that you can use to cover it up. This isn’t difficult to do at all.
Step 1
To begin with you need to wash your face. It is best to use a mild cleanser then pat your face thoroughly dry with a soft towel. If at all possible, use a terry cloth towel. You can then work on covering up your acne blemish. However, it is very important to be as gentle as possible here because otherwise you are not going to be able to do anything to cover up your blemish. This is because you do not want to try to use any type of makeup on skin that has been broken since this will more than likely cause your acne blemish to simply become infected. Whenever this happens, you will have a bigger problem on your hand than simply worrying about how to cover up your acne.
Step 2
After you have cleansed your face and made sure that you have not broken your skin, you will want to use some concealer. It is vital to match the concealer to your exact skin tone because otherwise it is going to be very noticeable that you are wearing makeup and trying to cover up blemish acne. Dip a small makeup brush into the concealer. Now gently press the tip of your brush onto and around your acne before blending it well into your skin. You may need to add some more concealer. Just make sure that you are working in an outward motion towards the surrounding skin so that it will look more natural and less prominent. In this way you will want to make sure that the entire thing is completely covered up.
Step 3
Once you have put on the concealer you will want to finish it up by using some powder. This can be either pressed or mineral powder. However, it is important to understand that just like you matched the concealer to your exact skin tone, it is also vital to do the very same thing with your powder too. Start by swirling a large powder makeup brush in some powder before either tapping or blowing off any excess powder that is on your brush. Now move in a circular motion as you apply this powder to your blemish acne. Make sure that you also blend your powder outward in order to cover your entire face. While you may not be accustomed to wearing any makeup, now is a good time to do so. It will not be very noticeable so don’t worry about it. The powder will simply even out your skin tone while making the acne blemish much less visible. In fact, once you have taken these steps and put on the cover up makeup correctly nobody should even be able to tell that you have blemish.
