How To Use Player Windows Media

Introduction

Windows Media Player, or WMP, is the default media player for all Microsoft Windows operating systems. Windows Media Player is a media library where you can store your music and playlists. Player windows media plays video files, audio files and you can view your photos on your PC that has player windows media.

Player windows media is not only a media player. Player windows media can rip and burn your music to a CD and the music on your player windows media can be created into CD format or a data CD. Your playlists can be on the CD and all of the content can be played on any digital audio player, mobile device or any player supporting the MP3 format. You can purchase or rent audio from numerous music stores via player windows media.

The current edition of Windows Media Player is WMP 11 and it is included on Windows Server 2008, Windows XP, Windows Vista and the latest version of Windows, Windows 7. Player windows media has its own audio and video format called the WMA and the WMV, which means Windows Media Audio and the Windows Media Video. Player windows media does support ASF, or Advanced Systems Format, XML and WPL, which is a playlist made in player windows media. Windows Media Player is an exclusive media player for Windows and it is included on your computer. Here is how you use player windows media.

Step 1

Go to "Start" and then click "All Programs." Click on "Windows Media Player" to open it. Go to "Tools" and Options" on players window media. You are about to add the audio or video files you want to use in the media player. You can play MP3, WMA, WMV, ASF and AVI files.

Step 2

Click "Library" and then "Add to Library" to add the files you want to add in player windows media. Windows Media Player automatically adds your music and video files from the folders you select, so choose all the folders on your PC that contain media files.

Step 3

Click "Play" to play the video or audio file that is in your library. "Play" is at the bottom of player windows media. The button resembles a triangle and it is facing to the right. You can play, pause, rewind and fast forward the audio or video.

Step 4

Add songs or videos to a playlist. Drag the songs you want to your library to the right of player windows media and then click on "save playlist." Name the playlist.

Step 5

Burn your songs to a CD. Click "burn" after you add a blank, recordable CD-R or CD-RW into your disk drive.

Step 6

Copy or rip the songs from a CD to your hard drive. You can add music from a CD and copy the music on that CD to your computer. Insert the audio CD into your CD-ROM drive and then click "Rip." The songs on the CD are now on your PC.

Step 7

Close Windows Media Player when you are done. Click the "X" at the upper-right corner of player windows media to close the program.
