Best Restaurants By Hotels in Downtown Boston

Introduction

There are a range of luxury downtown Boston hotels in existence, each with comfortable and spacious rooms, attentive service and modern facilities. However, in this article we will not be making the hotels the focal point eater the restaurants by these hotels. 

History

Nine Zero is a luxury hotel in Downtown Boston which has warm pleasant service, a prime location and four-star amenities. There are four restaurants located by the hotels premises, these are the No. 9 park, Oceanaire, KO Prime and the Stoddard's Fine Food & Ale. Below we have listed some of these restaurants located by hotels menu items.

Stoddards: Pot Of Pickles, House Charcuterie Plate which has pâtés, terrines, salamis, pickles, and toast and the Stoddard’s Burger which is fresh ground Meyer ranch beef, aged cheddar, chiffonade lettuce and onion, house-made b&b pickles and sauce. Diners get a choice of fries or beer battered onion rings.

The No.9 Parks menu is largely influenced by French and Italian flavours:

  • Appetizers: Oysters on the Half, Mixed Organic Greens and Globe Artichoke en Barigoule
  • Entrees: Roasted Scottish Salmon, Bacon-Wrapped Monk fish and Prime Hanger Steak
  • Dessert: Grapefruit Tart, Sorbet du Jour ( trio of daily sorbet) and White Chocolate Bavarian

The last restaurant we will exhibit that is by this hotels premises is the KO Prime Steakhouse & Bar, a modern steakhouse. The meat enthused menu includes: 

  • Appetizers: Shrimp Cocktail, House Cured Bacon Wrapped Sweetbreads and Crispy Fried Calamari
  • Soup & Salad: Roasted Sun Choke Soup, Roasted Baby Beet Salad, and Market Green Salad
  • Entrees: Fricassee of Chicken Two Ways, Citrus Braised Beef Short Rib and Crispy Skate Wing with Meyer Lemon
  • Steak: Hanger Steak, Flat Iron, Rib Eye Chop and T Bone

Features

The other hotel is the Elliot hotel. This hotel is by a range of different restaurants being ideally situated at the intersection of Commonwealth and Massachusetts Avenues. These includeBrown Sugar Cafe, The Elephant Walk, Saray Restaurant‎ and Eastern Standard. To give a clear representation of what these restaurants by hotels have to offer we have displayed some items from their menu.

The first of the restaurants by hotels is the Brown Sugar Cafe. This eatery has been open since 1996 and its menu has a palpable Thai feel.

  • Appetizers: Thai Spring Rolls ( Popular crispy Spring Rolls served with House Special Turnip Sauce), Tofu Triangles ( Golden fried tofu triangles served with sweet & sour sauce and crushed peanuts) and Cozy Shrimp ( Delicate whole shrimp spring rolls w/ house special sauce)
  • The soups and salads options at this restaurants by the hotels estate are:  Tom Yum Goong, Cucumber Egg Drop Soup and  Fenway Salad.
  • Mains: Red Curry, Green Curry, Chicken Cashew Nuts, Spicy String Beans, Look Chin Ping ( charcoal-grilled meat balls with your choice of pork or beef topped with House Special Sweet Chili Sauce), Honey Pork, Pad Thai and Thai Fried Rice.
  • Beverages: Young Coconut Juice, Lychee Juice and Thai Iced Coffee. 
  • Desserts: Chilled Lychee,  Fried Ice Cream, and Strawberry Cheesecake. 

The other restaurant we will mention that is by this hotels premises is the Eastern Standard Kitchen, a trendy urban eatery. This restaurants menu is split into the following meals;

  • Breakfast: Steal cut Oatmeal, Granola, Fruit platter and cinnamon French Toast
  • Lunch: Standard Omelet, French Onion soup, Roast Beef Sandwich, and Meyer Lemon Tart
  • Dinner:Hand Cut Mushroom pasta, Grilled Flatbread, Roasted bone marrow and for dessert vanilla bean creme brulee, and port poached pears

 

Tips and comments

The No.9 Park has a chef tasting that includes seven courses. The substance of this menu changes on a weekly basis.
