Introduction
The United States is a great country to travel in and many people from all over the world travel to the country each year because there is so much to see and do and so much diversity from coast to coast. The Southwestern United States is unique due to the desert landscape and unique geographical features that are not found anywhere else in the country. The state of Nevada is probably one of the more popular southwestern states because it is so close to many popular tourist attractions and centrally located in order for people to get to many of these sites in a short period of time. The Grand Canyon is located in nearby Arizona and Utah and The Hoover Dam is located on the border between the states of Nevada and Arizona. Death Valley National Park, Valley of Fire State Park, Area 51, The Extraterrestrial Highway and Red Rock Canyon are all in the area but the most popular Nevada attractions is by far the city of Las Vegas, famous for world-class casino gambling, exciting nightlife and, of course, state-of-the-art hotels in Las Vegas. Below is a list of some of those famous hotels and what they have to offer.
History
There are many hotels in Las Vegas but typically, visitors want to stay on a hotel located on the famous Strip and that is the hotels in Las Vegas that I will focus on for this article. Pretty much every hotel on the strip has a casino, one or more restaurants, high end shops and souvenir shops. A lot of the hotels also have shows that occur throughout the year and you will be provided with a schedule when you check in. Each hotel has something unique to draw in visitors.
Features
Among hotels in Las Vegas are some of the top hotels in North America. MGM Grand is luxury compared to some of the other hotels on the strip and there is a lion sanctuary and public gardens to relax in. Mandalay Bay is a top wedding destination and there is a giant aquarium with many species of sea animals including small sharks and sting rays. The Luxor is an Egyptian-themed hotel in the shape of a giant pyramid. There is a Starbucks Café located in the Main Lobby and many exhibits. The Venetian is a Venice-themed hotel where one can take a short boat ride in a canal. New York, New York is home to an outdoor roller coaster and replicas of famous New York Monuments. Treasure Island is home to the famous pirate show that plays several times every day. The Bellagio is home to some of the most luxurious shops on the strip and to the fountains it has become known for. These fountains dance to the music being played and the show goes almost all day.

These are just some of the great hotels on the Strip in Las Vegas. Each and every one has something unique to offer its guests but it doesn’t really matter which one you stay in because you can visit any of the hotels and experience what they have to offer even if you are not staying there.
