Who doesn’t enjoy a good flight simulator game? With great graphics and a very good feel Microsoft’s Flight Simulator is probably the best game on this market. The felling of the game is extraordinary I enjoyed this game a lot. Great progress has been made in the gaming industry. I remember some of the first flight simulator games that had low end graphics and just a few buttons to press. With new technological advancements in the computer world games have evolved a lot.

History

Every one of us has dreamed at least once that we can fly. Flight has always fascinated mankind and Microsoft’s Flight Simulator is a dream come true. I waited a long time for this game and I was very happy when I first installed it. The game has a very good feeling, the resolution and textures add a fine real feeling to the game. At the first look the game really impresses with high end graphics. Microsoft’s Flight Simulator is a game about graphics. The simulation of the game is not very impressive I really think that the producers could have made a larger effort in creating better simulation. One thing that was introduced in Microsoft’s Flight Simulator and that contributed greatly to the diversity and fun of the game are the missions. There are 50 missions for the Deluxe version and 30 missions for the Standard version which includes both tutorials, and serious mission. The missions are grouped on difficulty levels and finishing them will award you medals. Some of the missions have a very good storyline like locating a lost temple in the Amazon jungle. After you located the temple you have to recover an artifact that is cursed. Because the artifact is cursed all your flight instruments will go crazy and you will have to land in very hard conditions. In Microsoft’s Flight Simulator you will also find military missions or missions that require real piloting skills. The multiplayer is also a lot of fun. In multiplayer you and your friend will be in the same cockpit and share tasks, just like in reality. Of course you can communicate with other players using headsets and you can speak with your wingman or you can direct traffic for others. Being in the control tower is a lot of fun and it’s a very interesting experience.

Features

Microsoft’s Flight Simulator is a good game that has only one downside. The hardware requirements are pretty big you have to make sure you have a lot of disk space because the game comes on two DVD’s. This game can keep you entertained for months because it gives you a lot of freedom. Another god thing about this game is that there are a lot of mod’s for it, giving the game almost infinite possibilities.
