History
Angel Flight East is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization containing volunteer pilots, ground volunteers and a staff of a few people who are dedicated to serving masses with free air transportation for those patients who are seriously unwell and need to elsewhere from their home town for treatment. Angel Flight East has a bunch of pilots that all aim at successfully transporting the patients in poor health to places where their diagnosis has to take place free of charge. Angel Flight East was founded in 1992 in response to the hurricane Andrew needs, local pilots formed hurricane east. They assisted about 17 missions at first and since then have continued to grow their service. Angel Flight East is catering to the people in the Eastern region of the United States and with destinations that aren’t in their reach they link you to other volunteer pilot organizations. They have 425 volunteer pilots in almost 22 states. The mission of this airline is to offer free air transportation to qualified patients and their families by arranging flights to distant medical facilities, delivering supplies to disaster areas and reuniting families during desperate times.

Once you become a part of Angel Flight East, they appreciate you in a number of ways. They have many world famous brands sponsoring them in their big mission. These include Jerry Lenfest, Montgomery County Aviation, National Liberty Museum, Health Advocate, Wayne Jewelers, Main Line Affair and Tiffany & Co. Those who want to gain from this facility can get their family members, care professionals or themselves request an Angel Flight East mission if they need help in places far away from home. The mission coordinator will conduct an evaluation to see if the mission is in their guidelines. Like many other luxurious airlines that pamper you Angel Flight East doesn’t entertain any services on board. The patients should be able to enter and exit the flight on their won. There are no lavatory services or space to move around. The airplane is fairly small with limited space to accommodate as many people as possible. Angel Flight East isn’t equipped for any emergencies. A form has to be arranged by your physician stating your state to travel which is signed so the proceedings can begin.
Tips and comments
Potential patients should only apply if they are in a unwell state or if they can’t afford it. Forgery in this matter will be detrimental for not only the pseudo patients but it will create problems for others really in need.
