How To Make the Perfect Campfire on a Beach

Introduction

There is nothing more fun to do on a beach than making the perfect Campfire. The Campfire not only provides warmth, but the light and ambience created by the Campfire will add to the mood of the evening.

Step 1

Preparation.

It is advisable to start collecting the wood for making the campfire quite early on. The best time for collecting wood around a beach is early in the morning. This is because if you go for collecting would later in the day there will be mosquitoes and midges which will make life difficult for you on a beach.

Before going for collecting would carry year blanket so that you can carry the wood in it. Also change your flip-flops to something more rigid. After collecting the world, don’t keep the wood lying open on a beach. There could be lazy kids and teenagers around who will steal your firewood without you noticing. It is better to hide your firewood inside the beach hut.

Step 2

Time of lighting

Start Campfire before the sun completely goes out. As the dark draws on a beach, you'll have a focal point for all the people to gather after their long tiring day. There may be people who are tired after a long day of surfing, fishing and doing other activities.

Step 3

Location for Campfire

Don’t start the campfire near any shacks or huts on a beach. This way you can prevent the no fun police from stopping you campfire. They might make you stop the campfire citing reasons like ‘you're making too much noise’ or‘it is dangerously close to the hut’.

Step 4

Lighting

Use newspaper or tinder to start your Campfire on a beach. It is quick and easy to do it this way. The importance of having dry wood can't be stressed more. Not only it is difficult to light up a wood that is not completely dry, but it also gives out a lot of smoke. Wood that is not completely dry will produce a large amount of smoke and it will spoil the ambience around the campfire. People might start moving out without any reason.

Step 5

Bring booze and musical instruments.

There is nothing more enjoyable than hearing the soft music of the blues guitar or a harmonica playing while you can enjoy your beer or wine on a beach. Have enough stock of beer, whiskey and water. Also bring in few blankets because once you get in the mood and if you pass out it's not a nice experience getting up the next day under the blazing sun lying on a beach with sand in your mouth. So it is highly recommended to carry few blankets and make sure that you start your drinks sitting on it.

Tips

Time to put off the fire

It is always advisable to put the fire off, after the party is over. If you don't pass out on the beach it is better to put the fire out before going to bed. Bury the unburned wood into the sand and put some sand over it.
