George Bush Airport serves over 40 million passengers and it is one of the busiest airports in the country.
History
The land on which the George Bush Airport seats on was originally bought by a group of businessmen who preserved it until Houston was ready to build its second airport after the Hobby Airport. Finally in 1969 The Houston Intercontinental Airport as it was originally called was opened and all passengers traffic from the Hobby airport moved to Houston Intercontinental Airport at its completion. After sometime the airport was renamed to George Bush Intercontinental Airport after the 41st president of the country of America and as from there has been constant improvement to the airport.after the George Bush Intercontinental Airport was opened The Hobby airport closed down for two years and later resumed after the two years.

There are three main entrances into George Bush Intercontinental Airports terminal area. The airport has a total of five terminals which coverage an approximate of about 250 acres of land. Each terminal consist of a standard gift shop, newsstand and a nursery which comprises of toys, rocking chairs and changing tables and most importantly smoking is prohibited to designated areas within restaurants and lounges.
There is a train which is above the ground that connects all the five terminals of the George Bush intercontinental Airport.the name of the train is Terminal Link, it is useful for passengers connecting flights in different terminals in the airport. There is also an underground inter-terminal train that connects all the five terminals in the airport and the airports hotel and can be accessed by all. There is also accessible ground transport which includes Automobile, bus, courtesy vans, shuttle services and taxi and this ground transportation offer services to and from the airport and are very efficient and affordable.
