Introduction
Have you ever found yourself in the situation that you are traveling by car, need to get to an auto airport (probably as soon as possible) and don’t know how to get there? Or maybe you need to leave for a few days or even pick someone up and you need to find the nearest airport auto parking. For those of you who need to find directions here are some easy and fast solutions to your problem.
GPS maps
One of the fastest solutions to finding auto airport directions is to use a GPS (Global Positioning System). It doesn’t matter if the GPS is built into your car or if it is portable, its primary function remains the same. You can easily access its menu and either set it to display points of interest such as an auto airport and then select it and use the GPS’ software to calculate your route or you can search for a specific address (the auto airport address, which you can find out from the Internet or ticket). After you have found the auto airport just use the GPS to calculate the route and travel to it. This should be done before setting off to road and you should remember to always respect the driving laws in your country.
Internet maps
Another way to find directions to an auto airport if you do not own a personal GPS is by searching the Internet for maps or directions. This method may require some orientation skills from you. I recommend using a local map that displays points of interest and track down both the location of the airport and your departing location. After that all you have to do is print the image.
If you want to make the map even easier to read you can either take a screenshot and use any image editor to draw lines over specific roads that you will need to use so it will be more easy to read the map while driving and then print it, or just take a ball pen after you have printed the map and highlight the route you will be using. Internet printed maps are a bit harder to read while driving and I do not recommend using them while in motion. If you are driving make sure you obey all the driving laws in your country.
Airport auto parking
Another general problem is finding directions to the nearest airport auto parking. If you are going to the airport to pick someone up or if you plan on going away by airplane for several days and you need a place to park your car, the best solution is to use the airport’s auto parking. But how do we find it? It’s easy! Just find directions to the airport and when you arrive there just look for the Parking signs. Usually airport parking is located right in front of it. Be careful though if you want to leave it there for several days because the airport may charge a fee for the parking slot.
