Introduction
Sports is a major entertainment section for most of the people of United States of America. There are many sports that are played there which are specific for America only. Basketball, baseball, football and ice hockey are the major sports in the United States. Football is not the international version but instead the international version of football is called soccer in the states. Americans are known to play a different version of the sport that is similar to the way Australians play rugby. The objective of the game is similar to rugby. It is predominantly a contact sport, but with safety gear worn on their entire body, known as football body armor. This is majorly that differentiates football from rugby. The objective is similar. The offensive team needs to take the ball through the opponent’s defenses to the touchdown line. Every touchdown results in seven points. The defense tries to stop the offense. The ball can take down the field by throwing, passing, or kicking. 11 team members are present on the field at one time. Usually the offensive team differs from the defensive team and in every turn the coaches bring out players that are stringer in those particular situations. In order to make things interesting football championships are held all throughout the season. These football championships can be played between colleges or professional state level teams.
History
The series of football championships began in the 1890s, only a few years after the game was officially announced with formal rules and regulations. The two football championships that are still currently in place and organizing yearly football championships are the National Football Association which is part of the American Professional football Association, and the United Football League. The National Football Association is the major football championship that is followed by football fans and enthusiasts throughout the year since its birth in 1920. The United Football league on the other hand is a fairly new considering it has been only three years since its launch.

The National Football Association is the leading football championship game in America. The process of the football championship works in a way that first, each team plays 16 games till January. After that the top six teams from every conference which are also the top teams from each division play in the football championship playoffs. In the end of the playoffs, there remain only two teams from each conference, and those teams head out to play against each other in the major football championship called the Super Bowl. The winner of the Super Bowl is the national football championship winners. It is the most watched event in the United States with around 1 billion people watching it. United football league is not as popular since it has been only three years since its creation and there are no relations or connections to the NFL.
