It is not easy to determine exactly where football began though there are several opinions regarding history football. Most people say modern football started well in England in the early 1800, though historical references proof that there were other forms of football that were in existence. In England, football was originally played by the high and more upper-class English people in boarding schools and in their private clubs. It was an easy sport which later became inexpensive and quickly moved to majority of people around the world. In this world of today, football is one of the highly ranked leading sports.

After it had reached most people in England, the London football association was founded in the year 1863 and was very responsible for the standardization of the rules and regulations of the game around Europe. Less than twenty years later, many professional players and dreams started to rise up and started to hit the field.

The interest for the game grew through out the world, and the need for formal competition went up to. One thing though that happened is that professional players were not allowed to play till eighty years later when the rules changed.

The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), was formed in 1904 and there after followed the first world cup ever competition in the year 1930. Different Teams from different countries around the world came together to compete in a round robin tournament and from then, the world cup plan started to take place every four years till the present date. With many teams in different countries trying to compete, only twenty four of them are allowed to compete.
