Introduction
Football can refer to of two types; in America football is different whereas in England football is different. This sounds weirdly interesting, but it’s a fact. American football is often known as rugby in most of the countries. There are loads of different football clubs in both areas (America and England). As we are talking about Arizona football, this is about the American Football. Arizona is a state of the United States of America. It is located in the southwestern region of the country, so basically it makes Arizona the west part of the United States as well.
History
Among the 50 states Arizona is the 16th most populous state. Its capital and largest city is called the Phoenix. The second largest city of Arizona is Tucson, followed by the population by eight cities of the Phoenix metropolitan area: Mesa, Glendale, Chandler, Scottsdale, Tempe, Peoria, Gilbert and Surprise. A Spanish Franciscan explored the parts of this area in 1539. During the Mexican Revolution from 1910-1920 a few battles were fought in the Mexican towns just across the border from Arizonan border settlements. Arizona is widely known for sports, the state has almost all kinds of teams for all types of sports.
Features
The first Arizona Football team was Arizona Cardinals which was established decades ago, they won two championships in the seasons 1927 and 1947. Similarly there are different teams for baseball, soccer, ice hockey, indoor soccer etc. But the widely known team today from Arizona football is the Arizona Wildcats which is a famous Arizona football team in the whole state. This team belongs to the second largest city Tucson. The team basically is from the University of Arizona, and the university is located in Tucson, Arizona. The team was established in the University of Arizona in 1899 under the nickname Varsity. James Pop McKale became the first coach of Arizona football history. The team’s home stadium is called the Arizona Stadium which holds the capacity of about 57,803 people.
Starting in the 2010 season the Arizona Football team, the Wildcats wore new uniforms. They are basically the simplified versions of the same uniforms they wore from the season 2005-2009, with the addition of white helmet and with a red-white-blue stripe. The team is allowed to use any combination of its two helmets along with three jerseys and three pants. Other than the change in uniform the Wildcat Walk was the new tradition that started in Arizona in 2010. Before every home game started the team’s busses used to take them to their hotel and drop them off several blocks north of the stadium. The fans used to gather around supporting their team along with the marching band as the team walks towards the stadium.

Similarly one of the traditions about this football team is that whenever the team scores Wilbur the Wildcat does as many pushups as the Wildcats have points also the crowd seems to count his pushups, however unlike other mascots Wilbur the Wildcat does these pushups single handed making himself different from the other mascots of different school and teams.
