Introduction
Oregon football is an associate of the American football team for the university of Oregon. The team is a certified member of the NCAA and they are recognized for their wonderful performance in the american league. In 1960, the team was primarily known as the web foots until now that they are named the ducks. The team has a football seat that sits about 54,000 people.
History
The Oregon football association actually began their first games in 1894. Back then, the Oregon team was known for strategized planning before every game. They had the beste strategies and were very well organized winning many games in a row. That year, they finished the season with 2 losses and four straight wins. Since then Oregon football has improved and increased tremendously but they saw a downfall at some point. In 1916, Oregon football team went undefeated throughout the year becoming one of the best teams at that moment. In fact that year, they beat up one of the best teams in the league which was the university of Pennylsvania quakers. The next year, oregon established a football program which was known nationwide. This programme was initiated to hire experienced coaches and raise up aspiring and talented players. Oregon made a lot of impact when they initiated this idea, infact that same year, they were one of the best teams to have ever feature in the finals.
Achievements
Oregon football have really grown through the years,they have been able to raise up world renowned players like Mike Nolan, John mckay, Dan fouts, tuffy Leemans and Jack Patera. Infact the team produced the best of the best, LaMichael James. LaMichael James was one of the most decorated player in history. He has scored over 144,2010 points in his professional career.
Uniforms
Oregon football have really improved through the years, the team is recognized for their unique style of dressing. Their uniform consist of multiple colours and helmets. As at 2008, the team unveiled a uniform called "the light outs". The colours were yellow, green, black, grey, and blue. This design was mostly loved by football recruiters, infact it was one of the best uniform in the league. Oregon team was formerly known as the "oregon classic". They haveb defeated a lot of teams in the league, but the USC have still remained their rival. Even has the football team grown to prominence through the years, their rivalry with USC has grown stronger and stronger through the years. The acheivement and fame of Oregon football was due to a man called Len Casanova. Casanova has been the strength and pillar of oregon athletics. During the tenure of Casanova, he built a team of confidence and unity. He rebuilt the team with his experience and the team won the league for the first time in 1954. He led the team to three bowl championships. His career record was marked the highest number of wins, which was why the stadium was named after him. Oregon football has really experienced a tremendous growth because of this man. Even till today, the team remains undisputable.
