Introduction
Football v also known as American football is a sport between two teams, with the goal of scoring more points by pushing the ball into the opposing side’s zone. It is widely recognized as Gridiron football and commonly called ‘’football’’ in the United states. The game is played by carrying and scoring more points in the opponent’s goal line.
The game is played at all levels in the United states, but the rules vary. The major forms of play are professional football,college football, and high school football. The most watched league is at the professional level. Infact, Football v is one of the major sports in the world.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The beginning and history of football v all started from rugby football. This game was played in the 19th century, but in a different manner. Many games then were known as football and were mostly played in colleges and higher instituitions. In time, football evolved and knows now different ways of playing as well as different strategies and gameplay.
It was first played at the college level in the 20th century, attracting a large number of audience from all over the world. Then in 1892, the professional level games were introduced. Because of the popularity of the game in the United states, ateam of successful people came together to form the American football association. Then the name was changed from the the American football association to the national football league.
In 1958, football v became so popular such that the professional football became a national phenomenon. In the championship games 15 years ago, the Nfl decided to form two leagues, and the play began in 1960. And then the super bowl championship was introduced making the game the most watched sport event on television in the United states.
THE SPECIAL SQUAD
The teams are divided into different category, but they are those in the team that are known as the special squad. They are also called the special teams. The three most important players on the field of play are the kicker,punter, and long snapper.
The punter handles the ball, the kicker kicks the ball off and attempt field points and goals. The long snapper just snaps the ball for extra points. This special set of people are the most important squad in a team. Most of the time, the players return kick offs and get in a good position to gain an upper hand in the game.
THE POSITIONS
In football v, most players are often in the quarter back or offensive line. The quarterback players receives the sanp from the midfield and then they do a regular throw to the receiver when they are playing. This position is said to be the the leader of the offense.
The offensive line consists of about five players whose responsibility is to clear the way for runners and the blocking of members of the opposing team. Generally, the offeseman do not handle the ball. But they are known for their tackles. At least seven players make up the offensive play, and the others play behind the line.
