Introduction
Fantasy Football League is an interactive and virtual competition which allows people to manage their own professional football team. History
The Fantasy Football League was developed in 1962 by Peter Stauton who was a limited partner of the Oakland Raiders. He and Keith O’Brien who was also a public relations manager of the Oakland Raiders along with Scotty Stirling, who was a reporter formerly, came up with the rules. Andy Mousalimas in 1969 added another couple of leagues to the game after he brought it to his sports bar. Fantasy Football League was officially christened in 2009 as it was included in a sitcom which was based on football called The League which was created by the Schaffers, namely Jeff and Jackie Marcus Schaffer who are a husband-wife team who serve as directors and executive producers of the sitcom. After this, it earned mainstream success and has since earned a huge fan following all over the country.
Game play
The game play of Fantasy Football League is based on various kinds of league types of fantasy football. The head-to-head and the total point’s league have garnered the highest amount of success and is by far the most popular among all the league types. The first type as the name suggests is a series of head-to-head matches played between teams. The second league, which is the total point’s league, is a series of matches in which the respective teams have to earn the highest amount of points. The team with the highest total of points at the end of a regular NFL season will advance to the play-offs. The play-offs are then held in a series of head-to-head matches. The other types of leagues offered by this game are also highly interesting.

The players of the Fantasy Football League tend to watch more football games on TV and tend to root for their favorite teams. It has also been reported that players of this game also tend to buy more tickets to the matches. It seems to have a favorable effect on the number of tickets sold and has also resulted in a marked increase in the number of viewers of the game. In short, this game has garnered a number of fans of football from amongst an audience who did not consider the game interesting before but do so now. It has had an explosive effect on football viewing which has always been a favorite pastime of most Americans.
