Introduction
Italy proposed a domestic cup confrontation between AC Milan and Juventus Torino in the semifinals. These two teams are probably the best teams in Italy right now. Juventus had the clear advantage, because they won the first leg 2 to one and were playing at home. After they scored the first goal, everyone thought its going to be an easy qualification, but Milan had other plans. The situation was not that much different for them, because they still needed to score 2 goals, as they did at the beginning of the game. Milan showed great poise and did exactly that, to push the clash into over time. Juventus scored the equalizer in the beginning of the first half of over time and Milan never managed to bounce back.

The most surprising situation generated by this weeks football games was probably in Spain. After gathering a 10 points advantage in front of their great rival Barcelona, it seemed like Real Madrid was going to win the title this season. The advantage was considered to be almost impossible to recover, especially in a league like Spain, in which the difference between the two big rivals, Real Madrid and Barcelona, and the other teams is huge. The first part of the surprise came during the weekend, when, after dominating a home game against Malaga, in which they scored first, Real Madrid was equalized in the final minutes of the game, after a marvelous free kick by their star player Santi Cazorla.
The second part was pretty much the same as the first. Real Madrid played a very good game against Villareal and scored first, but failed to secure the advantage. They were again equalized in the final minutes of the game, from another free kick, this time struck by Marco Sena, to conclude probably the biggest surprise of all the football games played that day.

On the other side, Barcelona managed to bounce back from the hesitant couple of months they had, managing to win 6 in a row. They played 2 games, at Sevilla and at home against Granada. With two solid wins, 2-0 with Sevilla and a thrilling 5-3 with Granada, the difference between the two big rivals is only 6 points, with the game between the two still to be played. Barcelona star Lionel Messi scored 3 goals in the last one, achieving the great performance of becoming the all time goal scorer for his team. He is only 24 years old.
Tips and comments
Other very surprising results occurred in this weeks football games. In the Romanian domestic league, all of the first five teams that were fighting for the title failed to win relatively easy games, against teams from the bottom, a very rare thing to happen for that number of teams in the same day.
