This football is played by the professional teams included in the NFL (National football league), a not for profit organization. The earlier name of this league was American Professional Football Association, consisting of only eleven teams from different states of America but afterwards it changed to NFL that now consist of thirty two teams. This league consists of two forums, each forum has four units and each unit has four teams. So in total there are sixteen teams on each forum.

Each year, new site is selected by the NFL where football national games are held. The first game starts from first Thursday of the month September and after seventeen weeks or so ends in December or in the starting of January. People from all around the country come to watch this game and others who cannot watch it live, watch it on their televisions. It is the most beloved sports.

In 1933, the first championship game was played and during 1958 the game gained huge popularity. In 1965, this game left behind even baseball and became the most watched sports on the American televisions. Super bowl started in the 1970s and since then everyone loves to watch it. The teams in this game have fifty three players in total. However, only forty five are played in the regular games each week.
This sport is loved so much that it is even played in high schools and colleges. The college football games are also popular. The high school football matches are played on Friday nights, the college football games are played on Thursday or Saturday nights and the football national games are played on Sunday nights. Each state in American has a football ground where these football matches are played. The football national game is aired on channels like NFL network, ESPN, Fox sports, NBC and CBS.
