Sports are the leading entertainment businesses in America right now. There are many sports that are player in this country among which the ones that are played the most are; basketball, baseball, football, ice hockey, volleyball and tennis. All these sports are organized under official sports organizations like the NFL for the football, NHL, for ice hockey and NBA that organizes and manages all basketball events in the United States. These games are mostly played in America rather than any other country therefore that is the reason why it is such a huge success and gets a very large audience to follow it. Football in America is different from the rest of the world. In America it is a sport that resembles the game play and objectives of the Australian game Rugby, whereas in the rest of the world the game of football is played with foot and the American’s call that game soccer. History
Football is one of the earliest sports in the United States. It has like all other sports evolved into the game we see today but before it was not the same. In the end of the 19th century when people began to adopt the Rugby game into their own liking, they used the same shape of the ball except that the ball was made of leather and had stitching on a side. The safety pads that we these players wearing throughout their games were also different back then and were more compact rather that those protruding large safety pads we see today. In the earlier stages of the sport there were matches held against different teams from different states and then with the passage of time the number of teams grew to a size where annual championships or season football could be played.

Season football starts from the month of August and goes out till May of the next year ending with the Super Bowl game. The season football is basically a football championship organized under the banner of National Football League. All official football matches and all football players are managed under the NFL. Even the season football of college teams is organized but they fall under the organization of the National Collegiate Association Authority. Since the National Collegiate Association Authority manages the entire college sports, the season football is managed by the Football Bowl Division. It begins the same time as the NFL. These championships or season football span out for almost 9 months and end with a super bowl. The season football game starts with the teams playing 16 other teams. Out of these the top 6 compete in the conference games and then later the winners of the conference games compete for the national championship in the Super bowl.
