Musicians or celebrities in general are always in the public limelight. People get to see them everyday, recognize their pictures and voices. This makes their fans believe that they really know the stars. However, at any particular times, there is always an issue or two going on behind the scenes which the general public does not know. For example, in the case Of Amy Winehouse, there are many things about her the regular fan do not know still.
History
Most people know that she died of Alcohol poisoning in Camden England. However, what some do not know is that her middle name is Jade. This is the name she was christened with on that blessed September 14th 1983 when she came into this world. Her family was Jewish, and there is some Russian heritage on her mother’s side. The farther of Amy Winehouse was a taxi driver and the mother was a pharmacist. Another thing that may not be well known is that Amy Winehouse developed an early liking to art; in particular music and theater. In fact, she was not the only one so inclined in her family. The rest of the family members also had an interest in music and theater. It is believed that this is one of the reasons why she later became so good in music. For example, her brother had a guitar and he would let Amy Winehouse play it to. This went on for some years until she reached the age of thirteen, when she got her first guitar. Most of the pieces they used to do at this time were jazz based. Though very talented, she was not an easy person to deal with, particularly from the point of view of those in authority. She was branded a rebel, and was even expelled from a theater school at age 14.

Amy Winehouse loved to express herself in different ways. At that young age, she got her nose pierced and had her body tattooed a lot. These were some of the things that made people brand her rebellious. However, she was also very talented and began her professional career at a very young age. Not many artists can claim to have begun their professional career at the age of 16 like Amy Winehouse. For the next three or so years, she only performed at small clubs and recorded cheap demos. At the age of 19, she finally managed to record her debut album. The reception of its release was sensational. In fact, the album went on to earn her several awards. Unfortunately, her personal life was not going so well as her professional during this period.
Tips and comments
Amy Winehouse had problems in her relationship and was also involved with a struggle with substance abuse. Despite all these personal problems, her profession was still on track. In 2006 she released another album which did very well internationally. In 2008, she was the first British lady to win a whole five Grammy Awards. Nobody knows how far she would have flown had she died on 23rd July 2011.
