Introduction
Spring and then Summer Time will be coming upon us. Other than Thanksgiving and Christmas this is the most busiest time of the year. Time for fun, family, outdoor activities, and swimming. Parties, picnics and everything else that comes with fabulous weather. Along with all of the fun and games and parties comes many guests and friends and family. Family fun days and guests that come to stay can make it a very full house. It may seem a lot but here is a few tips for when there is a house full.
Step 1
Make a list of things that you would be using when you have many people coming to your home. When doing this, you want to think of basic necessities. Also of the extras that make a house a home. Things such as toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates and plastic silverware are some of the basics. Things like these are something that should be bought and kept on hand at all times. These types of things are especially important during the holidays and other times during the year when there will be many guests and family staying for a few days at a time at your home. It is a great idea to buy these things in bulk from a club store where they sell items in bulk. These things are just some basic examples. It is good to have extra sheets and blankets purchased as well. Keep extra toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, hair brushes and combs in all of the bathrooms of the house. Another good thing to keep on hand would be gentle baby wipes which can be used for many different things. Plastic containers, foil, plastic wrap are great for helping to store large amounts of food for the refrigerator or freezer for a house full.
Step 2
Another thing to do is to if you have a larger home with extra bedrooms is to make them up nice. Decorate each guest room in a different theme. A guest room does not need to be a wildly expensive room. A nice basic theme can be done fairly inexpensively. In the closets in each guest room keep two extra sheet sets and two to three extra blankets. A small trash can should be kept in all guest rooms. Shades or curtains should be on the windows for comfort for the guests when there a house full.
Step 3
Good things to have on hand for guests that might prefer to stay outside may be blow up air mattresses. A tent comes in handy for this too. Extra older sheet sets not used for good may be saved and kept for use with camping items. Don't forget to keep bug spray on hand too. Always think of these things when you have a house full.
Tips
Keep in mind that there will probably be a lot of cook outs during the Summer when you have a house full. If you have an extra floor freezer its a great idea to buy some hamburgers, sausage patties and hot dogs and keep them in that freezer for last minute cookouts. Bags of potato chips kept on hand in the pantry can help too. Extra ketchup and mustard is a must.
