After clicking search, a new page will appear that will pin point your house on a map. You should also see all of the other homes around the area on the map. Zillow will show you a little box near your house that has an estimate of how much they believe your house is worth. Of course, this is not always accurate, but should give you a good idea of your home worth.

To find out more about your home worth and the information that the site has listed about your house, simply click on the details link. If the information for your house is not correct or up to date, the estimate may not be very accurate.

While your on Zillow, you can also get a good idea of your home worth by looking at the other homes around the area. You will see on the map all of the other houses near you and how much they are estimated to be worth. Zillow will also show current homes that are for sale and houses that have recently sold. You can see how much the houses are listed for and the price that they ended up being sold for. Look for homes that are comparable to yours in location and size.

Tips

After finding out your home worth, think about how much you will accept when selling it. Depending on the housing market, you may want to wait to sell until you believe you can get what it's worth.
