Introduction
Home juicers are becoming a very popular home appliance in homes each day. There are a variety of home juicers that can do a variety of things. People are using juicers for various health concerns as well as daily health. Home juicers are something that used to quite expensive and a luxury item, but over the past few years research is showing how beneficial juicers are. The research shows that when the fruit, vegetable or herb is juiced your body can absorb it a lot better than actually chewing the food up itself. The digestive system doesn't have to work so hard to break it down and therefore your small intestine can absorb all the vitamins, and nutrients. It also helps the person get more than the recommended daily value of their fruits and vegetables in one glass.
Step 1
So the first thing you want to do is decide on the different home juicers to get. There are several out there and to do your research will find that there are some that are pretty reasonable, and some are very expensive. Once you get the juicer that you want, you will want to get some fruits and vegetables. Some common vegetables that are used to start off with juicing are cucumbers, carrots, celery, spinach, and cabbage. Some fruits commonly used are apples, grapes, and pineapple. You can use any type of fruit though.
Step 2
The next thing to do is wash the fruit and vegetables that you choose to use very well. You may have to cut up your fruit and vegetables a little bit in order to put through the shoot of your home juicers. Some people choose to peel their fruits and vegetables and others do not. Leaving the peeling on can help increase the juicing benefits. No matter what you choose, you will still optimize your health by juicing with the peelings on or off. If the food is not bought organic with soft peelings they should be peeled.
Step 3
After washing the fruits and vegetables that you choose to juice, place the vegetables in first. It is best to juice the leafy greens, first. Next, add in harder vegetables such as ginger, celery or broccoli. After those are added in if you choose to do smaller fruits add in them next such as kiwi, grapes, and berries. Last, put in the fruits or vegetables that expel more juice such as cucumber, celery and carrots to help push the other liquids through from the thicker vegetables. As you juice, be sure to have the spout open and a cup or jug below the spout to catch the juice.
Step 4
After you juice all of your fruits and vegetables that you chose, you can pour it into a glass to drink. This is the best part. You can savor the different flavors and blends that you can come up with. Finding a good juicing cook book or experimenting with it is always a fun process with owning your own home juicers.
Step 5
Once you are done juicing you will want to clean the your home juicer right away. Take it apart according to the owner's manual and clean it. Cleaning it with a mild dish soap and rinsing very well is recommended so you don't get any kind of soap taste in your juices. It is best to just rinse and let air dry instead if putting it in the dishwasher, but you can put it in the dishwasher if in a rush. With the pulp, you can save to put in breads or add to your favorite dishes.
