The band member Doug Robb said he wrote the song for the men and women in the service fighting to protect America and maintain peace. He said he wanted to show how it feels to be away from home and yet feel close at the same time.
Its categorized under post-grunge music genre and it peaked in many countries and it ranked high on the top Hot adult top 40 tracks.

It was the second single to their second album ‘A beautiful lie’. Jared Leto described the lyrics as talking about confronting your self and being honest with who you really are.
This song topped many charts on many countries and it was no 3 in the U.S. Billboards modern tracks. It was even voted the 2nd greatest Rock song on Scuzz TV. It even featured in many movies including the Tv series without a trace in 2007.
Bring me to life by Evanescence
This song is a single off the debut album’ fallen’. It hit top 10 in almost every country making it one of the top rock songs of the decade. At the 2004 Grammy award it was honored as one of the Best Hard Rock performance.
The band member Amy Lee was inspired to write the song after she had an ‘aha moment’ when someone encouraged her when she was going through the motions of life and not relly living at all hence the term “Bring me to life”. The song is made up of mainly electric guitar and assorted digital sound effects.
Tears don’t fall by Bullet for my valentine
This was one of their greatest single that sold millions of copies and won them numerous music awards. Bullet for my valentine is a UK based rock band and tears don’t fall is the fourth single from their album ‘The poison’. It is in the category of metal core, heavy metal rock songs and was released in 2008.
The lyrics are about a man wondering if his lover will still love him if they knew his shame and how he feels bad every time her tears fall. He decribes her tears as not falling but crashing around me which emphasizes just how much they hurt him to see.
