Introduction
People like to listen to music, all the time. In the bus while going to school (or to work), in the subway or in their personal cars, mostly at home while doing anything, everyone listens (or listened as a kid) to music. It doesn’t matter what your age is, what job you have, how you listen to it (on your headphones, on large speakers or just at your small laptop speakers) or when (in any casual day or at a big concert). The newest “fewer” when it comes down songs is listening in clubs. Club music is a total different subject. The music played in there is sometimes not like the original song, but slowed down songs or maybe tuned to play faster. But how do we slow down songs?
Step 1
1. Slowing Down Songs has become a quite normal practice nowadays. But how can we preserve the keys or the pitch? If we were talking about music played on older pick-ups we could have done it by changing the pitch speed from 45 to 33 (only if the disk would be imprinted at a constant 45 speed).
Step 2
2. We think that this is not the case though; people listening to down songs on their pick-ups are rare nowadays. The modern way is mostly regarding mp3-s played especially on their personal computers. Let’s see how e can slow down songs on a personal computer.
Step 3
3. First you will need to have the music you want to slow down. You can rip it from a CD you bought or just download it from the Internet. There are many websites that provide to the users songs, paid or not. Be careful though because in many countries there are copyright laws that forbid you to use other people’s music for your own occupations (other than listening to it).
Step 4
4. The next step that you must do is downloading a special computer program (there are many examples here because freeware is all over the internet, but I recommend buying a license for “Audacity”. Audacity is one of the top music editing programs that allow you to slow down songs) and use it for a while so you will start to know how to use it and furthermore know how to slow down songs without changing keys or the pitch. Other specialized software that you might use is: Slow MP3, Riffster Lite Build, Audio Speed Changer, etc.
Step 5
5. After this you will just have to load the mp3 track that you have recently downloaded from the Internet into the program that you decided you are going to use, start editing it, and save the edited song file into a new mp3 file on your personal computer.
Tip
Be careful about who has access to your personal computer (either physical or by the Internet) because like I said in the upper paragraphs, in many countries there are laws who forbid you editing and then selling or displaying to the people content for which you have not paid copyrights. More and more people come together to fight for their copyright content.
