Introduction

One way to express your feelings to someone is through song and lyrics. Often listening to a song and paying attention to the words makes us feel that at least one other person in the world understands how we feel. That person being the songwriter. Finding a song and lyrics and allowing a friend of loved one to hear it can often make it easier for us to communicate what we are feeling. Whether we are feeling love, sadness, anger or happiness, there is most likely a song and songwriter to put these feelings to music. • Enter the name of the song into the search box of your favorite search engine. If you do not know the name of the song and know some of the lyrics, type the words you do know into the search box. You may be able to find the song this way. If the first batch of lyrics you type in does not bring up the song, try some other lyrics that you are sure of.

• Buy the CD. Some artists include both song and lyrics when you buy a CD. The lyrics will be included with the song's name on the inside booklet that comes with the CD. Not all However, be warned that not all CDs will have this information.

• Find the song on Youtube. Play the song and see if the lyrics are included. Often songs are put on Youtube that have the lyrics scrolling as the song is played. Youtube has a wide variety of songs on their site. You are likely to be able to find anything that you might be looking for here.

• It is hard to imagine that there might be a song that you cannot find the lyrics to. However, if this does happen and you have utilized all resources mentioned to find the song and you still cannot, you may have to sit down with a paper and pen and write them yourself. You will have to play the song over and over as you write down the words. Having a friend or two help will make the job easier and faster.

• Once you find the song and lyrics, you may want to print them out if they are important to you. You may also wish to include both the song and lyrics when you play it for someone you care about. This is especially true if you are using the song and lyrics to convey your feelings and emotions. When listening to a song, some of the words and meanings may be missed. Having the written copy better enables a person to get the true meaning of the song and understand what the song is about.
