Introduction
Internet is the newest world revolutionizing invention. Everything that you may want is available for you on the Internet. But how can you find it and reach it? Simple, you first use an Internet browser application to open you access to the world wide network and then you go to a search engine where you can input several keywords and find on the internet what you were looking for. A search engine is internet based software especially created to find keywords in indexed pages. Any web page can be called indexed only after the search engine approves it and assigns keywords in it. Approving is made by passing through the page with special software called an internet robot or spider. One of the biggest search engines in the world is Google. But let’s see how, where and for what we can use google.fr.
Step 1
First of all I need to say that because Google is world wide spread and has a tremendous amount of users daily and it developed search engines for several languages and countries. Google.fr is the specific search engine for the French. The “.fr” represents the domain – in our case France.
Step 2
If you are not from France or in France, you will need to manually type google.fr in order to access it because Google has set their search engines to automatically change the domain for the one in the current country (mostly helped by the internet service providers) or in google.com if your country does not have a domain within the Google search engine.
Step 3
After you have accessed google.fr you will see that it has the same layout as the google.com search engine, but all the writings are translated into French. In order to find web pages with specific keywords all you need to do is type in the keywords and hit the enter key on your keyboard.
Step 4
Here you also have two options (google.fr has the same options and features as any other Google search engine) either (Recherché Google) search or (J’ai de la chance) I feel lucky – it means that it directly loads a specific webpage containing the keywords you have inputted.
Step 5
If you just used google.fr to search a keyword within several web pages, these web pages will be displayed now as a list from which you are able to choose any web page to be loaded and shown on your monitor. I suggest using the “open in new tab” feature for a faster and organized use of the internet.
Conclusion
You should also know that google.fr also contains the same features as any other domain, such as Google plus for social networking, the Google maps feature that allows you to see maps from all over the world (either as satellite view or with traffic, photos, weather conditions, area’s relief, videos or Wikipedia information about significant places), Google translate, a very useful tool that allows any user to translate either words or big texts from many world languages into any language of google.fr.
