How To Get a Personalized Google Page

Introduction

Since the launch of the GOOGLE personalized page, the GOOGLE personalized page enables you to use GOOGLE.com as your homepage and also include newsfeed and other forms of gadget from around the web. I will be showing you some useful tips on how to set your google personalized page.

Step 1

The GOOGLE personalized page is very easy to set up, I will be showing you a step-by-step guide on how to go about it. On your computer, go to the GOOGLE personalize homepage, a pop up box will instantly show up allowing you to your preferred location and customize the theme. In some case, one might have mistakenly or intentionally block the pop-up box on the computer. So, it is advisable to enable to pop-up box before going to the GOOGLE personalize homepage.

Step 2

After selecting a theme, GOOGLE will show you some thumbnails of a few of them at the top of the pop-up box. That is why it is advisable to enable your pop-up box. If you are finding it difficult to enable it, go to your browser settings, click on options, you will see the pop-up dialog box, then you click on enable.

Step 3

After this, the next step is to set up you your location, in setting up your location, you need to enter some basic data like your city and zip code in order for you to receive special updates available in your area like weather news and many more. When done with all these, you will be required to choose some of the things that interest you, GOOGLE will provide you a list of some interest for you to choose. Such like news, technology, sports and many more. After setting your interest, then click on ok to see how your GOOGLE homepage will look like.

Step 4

Having setting up all these, a small yellow box will pop up asking you if you are ready to make that theme your personalized home page. They are a lot of feature available on the GOOGLE page, to make your page look more professional and beautiful.

You can also add widgets to your GOOGLE page to make it more fantastic. You need no programming knowledge to to this. All you need do, is click on the grey add gadgets button on the left side of the page, this will take you to a page where you can search and browse all available gadgets or the little info boxes that populate the page. They can be games, apps, RSS feeds, and so on. By playing around the gadgets corner, you will find much more amazing features that will help your google page look better.

Tips

You can also edit and re-organize the gadget box if you feel uncomfortable with it. To remove a gadget, click on the colored bar at the top side of the box. Click the little gear icon that appears and select "Delete this gadget." To move your gadgets, click and hold the colored bar at the top of the box, then drag it where you want it to go.
