How To Download the Toolbar From Google

Introduction

We have loads of add-ons from every application we use on our computer system. There's a Skype toolbar, a CNN add-on for your browser, a torrent exclusive search toolbar and then there's the toolbar Google offers for its loyal fans. Now you could get a billion other toolbars other than Google for searching but we all know when it comes to searching for something on the Internet we "Google it". So how you want the toolbar Google made to make Googling a whole lot easier.

Step 1

First, you download a web browser. A web browser is a browser application that allows you to surf the Internet at different addresses. The most basic and common Internet browser that everyone uses is the Internet Explorer by Windows. It's their default browser. Other common browsers include Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google chrome but in Chrome the toolbar Google made for add-on is already installed by default. Download and install any of these browsers if you prefer them but beware, Google has stopped the add-on toolbar for Firefox so if you want to enjoy the Google toolbar features then you can't use Firefox.

Now once you've chosen your browser and it is ready to use, you need to download the installation files for the toolbar. Google products are all free so you don't have to worry about purchasing this product. Just go to the link Google.com/toolbar or type it into the address bar of your browser. A window will open taking you to the official page for the Google toolbar.

Once the page is loaded, you'll see all the description you need to see about the toolbar. Google gives a link for the privacy policy as well if you want to read it. To download the toolbar look for a big blue button on the right hand side of the screen labeled "Download Google Toolbar" you can't miss it. Click on the button and you'll be directed to a new page.

Step 4

Now on this page you'll have a smaller window stating all the terms and condition you must agree to if you wish to use the toolbar. Google will not allow you to download or install until you have read and agreed to all the conditions. By clicking the "agree and install" button you declare you have read and agree to all their conditions. You also have two configuration options: you either choose or ignore.

Step 5

If another window pops up warning you that the browser is attempting to download a file then accept and confirm it. Once the installation is complete close the browser you already had on and restart it. If your computer asks you to reboot the computer you will have to for the effects to take place. Once you re-open the browser you'll see the toolbar Google installed for you at the bottom or top of the address bar.
