Introduction
Andrew Bird is a native of the windy city of Chicago, and from a very early age he showed interest in music and even went to study the violin. He did continue with his study of this instrument all the way to university level where he honed his skill in the violin at Northwestern University, but also by himself, during his free time.
History
It was after clearing his university education that Andrew Bird released his premier album that introduced him to the music industry. This album was mainly characterized by blues and folk tunes and it was known as Music of Hair. After this debut album, Andrew Bird decided to join forces with like-talented individuals who shared his passion for music, and the individual he formed a team with was Squirrel Nut Zippers. Together, they made beautiful music and they have three albums to show for it.

In 1997, musician Andrew Bird formed a band, and the band released a total of three albums before he separated himself from the pack and decided to go solo. His band was known as Bowl of Fire, and after leaving this band, he signed a record deal in the year 2006 with a recording company known as Fat Possum Records.
He did reunite with his original band and together they made one more album. However, a solo artist since 2006, Andrew Bird has only managed to release one music album. However, his legacy does boast of eleven different albums as well as different collaborations with various artists.

He may have gotten some of his inspiration from artists such as Ani DiFranco as his music tends to resemble that of such artists. Andrew Bird is a singer, but he also writes his own music and songs and he specializes in the production of folk pop music, but also other gendres.
From his humble roots in Lake Bluff, Illinois, Andrew Bird has been able to grow roots of his own in a music industry that is highlighted by clichés. He has carved a niche for himself that can be identified by him and him alone. A lot of his work is an amalgamation of various favourites, and instead of all these genres clashing into a musical disaster, they have blended into a unique musically harmony that only an established and talented musician like Andrew Bird could have achieved.
Apart from the violin, which Andrew Bird grew up playing, the musician was able to establish himself as a true musician by learning a second instrument, the guitar, which he has been playing since 2004. He is a triple threat in his own right, as he is an instrumentalist, a songwriter and a musician, and his music exhibits his prowess in all these areas.
His most recent release was on the sixth of March 2006, with his latest album titled Break it yourself which is guaranteed to wow the listener as well as highlight this musician’s limitless abilities and effortless talent.
