I always thought Big Bird from Sesame Street was innocent, fun, loving and curious and as a child, he sure did his job of entertaining me! Without giving away my age and timeline, I will admit that yes, I use to watch Sesame Street and I loved, loved, loved Big Bird!

For many years Big Bird has provided entertainment for countless children with his funny antics, his confused state and his eagerness to learn about life. He was one of the most central characters on Sesame Street and after watching how entertaining he really was, it wasn’t hard for me to sit with my children when they were younger and watch it over and over again.

Through the years, Big Bird was officially played by Carroll Spinney but as age became a factor, the show decided it was necessary to begin training new people to play the role of the all famous Big Bird. It is said that Carroll Spinney had multiple roles as well, the 2nd role being that of Oscar. Other persons that played big bird include Rick Lyon, Matt Vogel and Daniel Seagren.
With a multitude of appearances made by Big Bird being the main sightings of him, he is also featured in many videos, TV appearances, and books.
