Try cleaning them in advance and then giving them a specific period to stand the remedy. After that, it no abnormal behavior such as reddening, swelling, bleeding, shivering, fever or swollen glands is observed than let the surgery proceed, else make other precautionary measures to first eliminate these abnormalities and their cause and then make the further procedure accordingly.

Be careful about the loose and weak teeth during the surgery as well because a tooth that has lost its strength will ultimately get broken and if such a thing happens during the oral surgery it will cause a lot of trouble for you, therefore make sure that all the weak tooth have well been taken care of before starting the surgery.
