Introduction
A portable spa is a great thing to have. Not only is a portable spa inexpensive but also it is low maintenance. Fortunately, it is also easy to set up a portable spa. This is great because it means that you will be able to have more time to spend inside of it. All you need to do is follow these few easy steps.
Step 1
Choose the best place to put your portable spa. You want to make sure that this location is both flat and level. For this reason, the ideal place is either on a cement patio or on a wooden deck. If you choose to put your portable spa in the middle of the yard though, you will need to use a garden backhoe in order to completely level the ground first. In this case you can also to lay down a tarp prior to putting up your portable spa.
Step 2
Once your spa is in place you will need to set up its wiring. Usually there is only one plug that is used to operate both the water heater and the jets. Nevertheless, you will still need to make sure that the location you choose to place your portable spa in is one that is close enough to reach an outlet. Of course, you want to make sure that this location is safe. As such, you don’t want to place the portable spa too close to an electrical outlet that could possibly get splashed with water.
Step 3
After you are sure that you have chosen and prepared the best place for your portable spa you will want to have a few friends over. It will take all of you working together to actually lift the spa into this location. This is important because if you try to move it all by yourself, you may strain or injure yourself unintentionally.
Step 4
When your portable spa is properly sat in its location it is time to actually plug it in. You will want to then take time to check out the water heater. It is important to ensure that it is working properly before you actually fill the spa up with water. After all, the last thing that you want to have happen is to fill the spa with water and then have to empty it again. Not only is this a lot of hard work but also it is quite costly since you have to pay for the water that you use.
Step 5
Place a water hose inside of the spa and turn it on. Fill up the spa while the water heater is running so that the water will be warm. It may take up to 24 hours for the water to become warm. At this point you will want to add the correct amount of chlorine (directions can be found on the chlorine you purchase). Make sure to test your water every couple of hours for the next 24 hours in order to make sure that the chlorine is at a safe level.
