How Expensive Is Hotel Spa Resort?

Introduction

A spa resort is a place where a person is given medical treatments via minerals and aromatic therapy. The concept of such a place always sounds appealing. It is in fact a place worth being. There has never been and never will be a doubt that treatments and therapies given in the spas have the power to cure stress, tension and many other diseases but the question is, are they for every one? Can everyone actually afford the prices that these spa resorts offer? Today a hotel spa resort is an essential component of any high class hotel or resort. These resorts offer the best kind of spa treatments that are available. But then again, are they for every one? Or are they restricted to an elite class only?

History

The idea of water and spa treatment is not a new one. In fact mineral and aromatic treatments are perhaps the most ancient kinds of therapeutic treatments. The healing power of minerals, aromatic hot oils etc has always been utilized by man. In old times spa treatment used to be for everyone. They were common and were not considered as something special unlike today. In today's world where allopathic treatments have conquered homeopathic and mineral treatments the latter have started to be considered as a luxury. The very concept of having mineral treatments and that too at a hotel spa resort is generally associated to the elite class or the highly rich.

Features

The allegation somehow makes sense. Most hotels having a hotel spa resort are those hotels and resorts which offer a room for nearly 8000$ a day. And that 8000 does absolutely not include the spa services for which one would have to pay separately. One can only imagine how expensive their spa services would be. Take Rania resort of Maldives as an example. They charge 8000$ for a night and a five hour service of spa and yacht travelling. Now can a normal person afford that? Definitely not. One&Only Resorts that are located in Maldives again may say that they charge 930$ of room service per night but if one is to avail all the services including the hotel spa resort it would cost around a million dollars. Now let's talk about some European resorts. A normal high class European hotel spa resort would easily cost 500 to 800 Euros. Some high class resorts would offer definitely more than that. Same goes around for Asian hotel spa resorts. In short any where you go a high class hotel spa resort would be highly expensive, beyond the reach of a normal individual.
