Introduction
A visit to a spa can be treated like a mini vacation. A vacation where you are pampered and can forget about all the troubles of the outside world for a short time. Some spa guests only treat themselves to a spa visit every once in a while, but others want more frequent visits and for these guests, joining a spa club could be a good solution. As a spa club member, guests can take advantage of spa discounts. These discounts can save guests a lot of money in a very short period of time, however, trying to find out which spa club is right for you can be difficult. If you visit several spas in your area, but only have money to join one, you should start by determining your spa needs.
Step 1
Decide what you want in a spa club. Are there spa treatments that your cannot live without. What about location? If your favorite spa is located too far away to visit regularly, you need to take that into consideration if you decide to join. The best discounts are available, the more you are able to visit a spa.
Step 2
Have more than one spa club to choose from before you make your final decision. If none of your choices are absolutely perfect, this allows you to have leverage with the spa representative before you make your final decision. If you are willing to take your business elsewhere the spa may offer you a bigger discount.
Step 3
Set a goal for how often you will visit the spa club. Be realistic. If you have to travel a long distance to get to the spa and you barely have enough free time before you joined, the reality is that you are not likely to find time to visit as often as you would like. If your spa is not conveniently located, then you should treat your spa visits like short day trips. For instance, once a month, or whenever you can, you should plan for a spa day that includes the spa visit itself as well as the travel time to and from the spa.
Step 4
Experiment with the type of treatments you get. If you always get the same type of facial, but your spa club offers several different kinds, choose one of the others every few spa visit. This is a good way to find out is there are treatments that are just as good or even better than your current favorites.
Step 5
Set a budget for each spa club visit. Even though you are now a member of the spa and are getting discounts, do not allow yourself to go over your budget by spending too much on spa products, unless you are sure you will use everything you buy.
Tips
- Take advantage of spa club packages whenever possible because these series of treatments are often put together to provide spa guests the best results.
- Check with the Human Resources department of your company to see if spa treatments can count toward your company's employee wellness program.
