Royal Bank is subsidiary of Royal Bancshares, Inc. This institution was founded in October 12, 1990. They purchased the Bank of Elroy and the State Bank of Lone Rock. They are currently found in 15 locations and serve the communities in South Wisconsin. Their assets exceed $205,000.000.
Go to the Home page (Royalbank.com), then click on the tab that says 'Online Banking'. This will be found on the upper left corner of your page. Click on the Client Card Number area and type in the username you selected or the 16 digit Client Card Number.
When you log in the first time, it would be best to change your Online PIN. After which, you can start checking your accounts. Changing your PIN, is the best way to prevent unwanted individuals from accessing your online account in case you dispose of the letter sent to you.
Should you wish to change your ID, PIN or E-mail address, click on the 'Options' button. You will be able to view your current information in the 'Personal' section. Type what you wish to change and click on the 'Submit' button.
For added measure, E-statements can be sent to you instead of your usual paper statements. These will be sent to your e-mail address for you to peruse without the hassle of discarding papers. When enrolled to this program, you will cease to receive your statements by way of mail.
Make sure you disable 'memorize password' or 'auto-complete' if you are using Internet Explorer 5+, Netscape 6+ or AOL 5+. These may compromise the safety of your online account if you are using a shared computer.
Do not share your User ID or PIN with other people. This is your link to your finances. Being a personal account, it would be best if you made no move to share that information with other individuals.
Never walk away from a computer without logging out of your bank account. This applies to people using a shared computer and those checking their finances in a public area. Many unsavory individuals thrive on these sort of things to make quick money.
Please refrain from checking your account in a crowded place. This includes coffee shops, subways, the terminal, in elevators and shopping centers. People behind you may be watching and this is a huge security risk.
If you feel that your PIN has been compromised, change it as soon as you can.
Tips and comments:
Although online banking is convenient, learn to protect your finances with common sense. Your bank would never send you an e-mail asking for your PIN or User ID. Should you receive an email asking for these things, contact your bank right away and block the sender.
