Introduction
Some women really like to own as many different pairs of designer shoes as they possibly can. In fact, it is rare that you encounter a woman who doesn’t like shoes. Fortunately, most women also like to find a good deal. There are some bargain hunting strategies that they will want to apply whenever it comes time for them to find designer shoes.
Step 1
Go online to shop for designer shoes. One of the best places to check is eBay. They are a very popular place in which to find discount designer shoes. You can also trust them and will find hundreds of retailers there who are dedicated to selling these shoes. The only drawback to shopping here is that you won’t be able to try the shoes on to make sure that they fit you properly.
Step 2
Check out discount departments stores like Marshall's, TJMaxx and Burlington Coat Factory to see what designer shoes they have. While you’re at it, you should also take a look at famous shoe warehouses like DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse is open in 36 of the 50 states) that make it both accessible and affordable to for most Americans to own designer shoes.
Step 3
Look at consignment stores or places like Goodwill or the Salvation Army for designer shoes. These stores are available in most places today and they are great places to go whenever you’re in search of shoes. (While there you should also check out the designer clothes.) This is because a lot of wealthy people donate last year’s styles to these places. So, if you don’t mind wearing used shoes, you can find some really good deals in these places. For instance, it’s not unheard of to find a pair of designer shoes for as little as $5.
Step 4
Visit outlet malls in search of designer shoes. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to afford to shop at high-class stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Saks 5th Avenue. However, there is something that you may not know: All of these stores have outlet stores. For instance, Nordstrom’s has the Nordstrom Rack, Neiman Marcus’ has the Marcus Outlet and Saks 5th Avenue has Off 5th. All of these places tend to offer discounted inventory. This is actually true of all outlet versions of upscale department stores: they will usually offer the same inventory at discounted prices.
Step 5
Find out how to sign up to receive coupons and discounts via mail from your favorite stores and designers. Some of these places also have email lists that you can sign up to receive newsletters from them, which will oftentimes include special discounts that are only available to those whom they can email. Since fashion trends tend to change quickly, you will find that they tend to go on clearance a lot. Couple this with a coupon and you will be able to save big. For instance, just think about how much money you could save on a pair of designer shoes that are on clearance if you also have a 20% off coupon to use.
Tips
Find a discussion group or blog for people who are interested in shoe shopping. They will share discounts and tips.
