Best Clothing For a One Year Old

It will be difficult to find one clothing for a one-of-a-kind outfit. Perhaps, you can make original clothing rather cheaply at home as a best option and you do not require many years of sewing experience to make one clothing worthy outfits.

What kind of clothes does a one year old need? The answer will be loose fitting clothes as the one-year-olds require a lot of movement like crawling and rolling. It is quite economical and best to make one clothing at home. You can make a lovely bandana dress for one year olds by placing two bandanas together with the good sides facing inward. You can select a top and bottom end for the dress. You can sew the sides of the bandanas together, starting at the bottom and stopping six inches away from the top edge of the bandanas. You can then fold about an inch of fabric along the top edge and sew the fold as close to the edge as you can. Turn over the dress and sew the same fold line along the back. You may then cut two pieces of a ribbon that is an inch wide. Each piece could be two feet long. Insert one ribbon into the fold at the top back of the dress and the other into the fold at the front. Turn the dress right side out and pull the ribbons. Tie the ribbons at the right side in a bow and repeat the same with the left side. Bandana dress is ready.

Another best kind of one clothing you can make is ruffled short pants or diaper covers. You can lay the short pants or diaper covers with the front facing downward and measure the width from the left to the right side of the seam for your finished ruffles. Cut ribbons that are an inch wide into six pieces to the width and keeping extra margin to make the ruffles. Sew a loose stitch across one long side of each ribbon and then tug on the thread at the end of each ribbon to make the ruffles. Sew a tight straight stitch to secure the ruffle to the short pants or diapers. This is probably the best option for clothing of a one year old.
