When it comes to cardio, one of the best exercises we can do is running. Running has many benefits including weight loss, stronger bones, stronger muscles and healthy heart and lungs. Anyone can take up running but there are a few items of running clothing you will need before you get started to ensure your comfort and safety. Below are some tips for running clothing and what you will need to get started.
Step 1
When it comes to running clothing, the key is comfort. Finding the right running clothing can be a challenge but basically what you need for optimal comfort is clothing that fits, that is not too loose that it will be obstructing you in any way and not too tight that it will restrict movement. Make sure pants are not too long so you will not trip on them and make sure they are snug around the waste so that they will not slip.

To get the most out of a run, you will need running clothing that both lets you breathe but also promotes perspiration.

While proper running clothing is very important for runners, the shoes are probably the most important. Runners need sneakers that are specifically made for running because you will need a cushion and shock absorption to prevent damage to your knees from the impact of your feet hitting concrete or hard ground.

Although this does not really fall under running clothing, these two items are great accessories to wear under clothes while running and they are light weights that can attach to your body or clothing and a band that wraps around the waste to promote sweating.

Safety is also important when it comes to running clothing and the best way to stay safe while running especially at night, is to buy running clothing that has reflectors built onto it and buy reflector tape that you can tape onto your clothing.
