Colorado is one of the most naturally beautiful states in America, so tourists can enjoy its natural wonders in addition to the many man-made tourist attractions. The state is also strong for having many cities with good school systems. History
Tourist attractions near universities in Colorado can be diverse because Colorado is bordered by seven states, so each area has a slightly different feel. The Western part of the state is dominated by the Rocky Mountains. The Northern Rockies area is known for its famous ski areas, including Vail, Aspen and Keystone among others. A couple famous tourist attractions in the the Central Rockies are Pike's Peaks and the Garden of the Gods. One of the most urban areas in Colorado, the Metro Denver area and just above that is the Front Range area.

The University of Denver is located at 2199 S. University Blvd., Denver, CO 80208 and is one of several universities in Colorado that is located close to one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world, the Rocky Mountains. It is also near famous ski resorts, including Vail, Breckenride and Aspen/Snowmass. UD is also located near 15 several historic sites, monuments and national parks. In addition to the national parks, UD is located near 40 state parks. Other attractions include Capitol Hill, which is located 5 miles from the university, the Golden Triangle, 7 miles from DU, the Denver Art Museum, the Denver Public Library, the Acoma Center and the The Molly Brown House Museum.
University of Colorado at Boulder is located on Baseline Road, which is less than an hour from Denver, so it has access to all of Denver's tourist attractions. Located in the center of downtown Boulder is the large, four block long Pearl Street Mall. This mall has a distinct Boulder feel because most of the stores are independently owned. Visitors can shop, eat and enjoy the art galleries and watching Boulder's street performers. Boulder is also known as being a popular art community, so there are plenty of opportunities for enjoying outdoor concerts, which are often free. Music lovers can enjoy performances by The Colorado Music Festival. Boulder Creek is a good place to visit for those who want to picnic and hike along easy trails. There are also much more difficult trails located nearby for those who want more of a challenge.

Colorado State University CSU is located at 0100 Campus Delivery in Fort Collins. This school is in the Front Range area of Colorado and is near several ski hills, hiking trails and is less than an hour away from Denver International Airport. This school is located at the bask of the Rocky Mountains, so tourists have easy access to a variety of popular outdoor sports in the area, including hiking, white river rafting and skiing. Art and theater lovers can visit The Lincoln Center to see professional theater performance as well as, in addition to other art and cultural programs. Beer lovers can visit the CooperSmith's Brewery and the New Belgium Brewing Company.
The University of Northern Colorado
The University of Northern Colorado is located at 8th Ave and 18th Street, Greeley, CO and is another of the universities in Colorado that is located in the Front Range area. The school is located near Estes Park, which offers access to Rocky Mountain National Park where they can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. For science lovers, the Sommer Bausch Observatory and the Discovery Science Center are located nearby.
