People who are having these spider veins, as it is also called, sometimes just brush it off like it is not serious deal. This misconception is dangerous since varicose veins have been linked to health issues that are considered serious like heart disease or diabetes.
Another known veins disease or problem is the condition that is known as Deep Vein Thrombosis or you can just call it DVT. This is a life threatening condition that no one should take lightly. This happens when inflammation occurs in the deep veins and a blood clot has formed. They say that this is caused by major illness, some surgery, or injury. This disease is dangerous because it doesn’t only damage the veins but it can also lead to pulmonary or coronary embolism. You wouldn’t want this to happen since this is when the blood clot travels to your heart or lungs and that scenario can be fatal.
Vein Diseases: Curable?
Those simple or minor vein diseases should not be taken for granted because you don’t want them to cause more complications. Good news is, there are medicines or treatments available for these diseases like that of varicose veins. The moment you see signs of having these vein diseases, it is advisable to visit your doctor and have it checked. Don’t be too relaxed about them especially if you don’t know what it is yet.

Protect Yourself From Vein Disease Like Varicose Veins
Vein diseases like varicose veins can be prevented. Here are some tips that you might want to observe if you don’t want to suffer from varicose veins or worst.
Each day, you must elevate your feet at least once for 15 minutes.
As much as you can, try to avoid wearing clothes or pants that are tight-fit or those that are non-stretchable fabrics. These clothes can restrict blood flow.
Don’t strain you legs too much so avoid standing or sitting for a long time. If you really have to sit for long hours, make sure you move and flex your muscles by wiggling your toes.
The main idea is not to restrict the blood flow in your veins.
