Introduction
Games have been a source of entertainment for us since 1972 with the release of Magnavox Odyssey. From that point onwards, it was a race between developers to get to the top, creating something new, better, faster, and more entertaining. Till we got our modern age consoles such as PlayStation 3 game systems, Xbox game systems, PSP game systems, computer gaming systems and many more.
The tips related to games systems cover what to buy and what not to buy according to features, regions, prices, preferences, etc.
Step 1
If I plan to buy a games system, be it an Xbox or a PlayStation (consoles) or a PC, the first thing I need to do is check what my budget is. Consoles usually have fixed prices that vary by $25 to $50 max. A PC’s (personal Computer) price may differ according to its specifications.
Step 2
Then I would decide whether I’m comfortable using a mouse and a keyboard (PC) or a joy pad (consoles). Many games are played using a mouse entirely, this poses problems for the consoles, and as such those games cannot be played on them.
Step 3
The next best thing to do would be to choose what type of games I like, and the availability of those games on these products. Like, RTS (Real Time Strategy) games are not available on the consoles, but they are on the PC. Similarly games such as Bleach: Soul Resurrection is made for PS 3 only.
Step 4
Compatibility and Portability are the two main topics discussed by gamers. All of these systems are manufactured abroad, which restricts the type of discs they are able to run. A PC usually runs almost anything. The consoles on the other hand need region specific discs in order for them to run it. A PS 3 runs Blu-ray discs that are expensive and less in variety. But then again, consoles can be chipped in order to run various games found in our local markets.
Step 5
Portability can be obtained by buying either a laptop, or a Sony PSP game system. Laptops are just like PC’s, other than the fact that they are compact. They are as powerful as your desktop PC would be. The PSP on the other hand is bit like your average console joy pad. It fits in two hands perfectly, with a screen in-between the keypads to show the games that we are playing.
Step 6
Gaming system storage is really important while considering buying a system, because so many times it happens that we feel confined when we don’t have enough space on our system to store our personal data. A PC could guarantee a lot of space, as it can be increased, but consoles such as xbox 360 250GB are limited to the disc space they mention.
Step 7
If I feel that the prices for these systems in the market are too high, or out of my budget, I could always go for cheap game systems for sale, this would include second hand systems, with a cheaper price tag. There is a risk factor involved, but usually through good sellers, one can get a really good deal.
Step 8
Last but not the least, all systems have now started competing with one another on accessorizing their developments. Xbox 360 Kinect gives its customers a chance to play games by action. PS 3 gives better graphics with its Blu-ray technology and the PC enable us to play games in 3D by the help of 3D glasses.
Every system has its own unique feature. It’s up to you to decide which one tickles your fancy. Video game system are most popular among the young generation but the adults also take time to play on pc gaming systems. However, the best gaming systems are very expensive and not everyone can afford them.
